I’m 21 years old. So I’ve had hemorrhoids for months now. I can’t seem to get rid of them. I eat 1-2 fruits per day, lettuce, some yogurts and drink only water… I use hemorrhoid pads for relieving the symptoms. I always knew I had hemorrhoids but didn’t go to the doctors because I thought it would disappear in less than a month. Since it’s still on going, I went to the doctors 3 days ago and he’s confirmed it by checking my anus. He told me “exercise, eat fruits and vegetables” and thats it. As much as I hate the idea of going into surgery, I feel like I need it.
The symptoms of hemorrhoids I have are pain during bowel movement and then itchy/burning feeling after bowel movement. Sometimes it really intensifies after when I walk to school or doing some form of walking. The itchy/burning feel cools down when I’m sitting though. I bleed “sometimes” when the stool is super dry.
What are you guys thoughts about this? Is this a serious condition?
Those of you who’s gotten hemorrhoid surgery before, how did it go and how fast was recovery?
